I want a house. I have 2 mil from just messing around and playing the game but I know I need at least 2x as much. What are good methods of making gil? I don't need the fastest possible way but just a good, steady way to make lots of gil. These are probably the best. There will never come a point where raiders don't need these anymore. There are tons of items that you can buy off NPCs and sell for a profit on the MB, it just takes a bit of research.

Mats, gear crafting in particular , and furniture are great starts. That's how I got started and was pulling in k a week early on. I funded houses, and crafting, and now make a lot more, but it's a great start.

Focus on the most consistent ones. The less investment required on your part, the better. Level up crafters and gatherers, study the market and do this. You'll have several millions of gil in no time. Here's another guide that may help.

Check prices on everything before NPCing stuff. I regularly sell things that are only worth g, and while it may seem like chump change, it adds up, and the items usually sell quickly. Take up Gathering, if not Crafting as well. Spiritbond and sell materia.

Find items that are available at vendors that people buy because they're lazy Tallow Candles, Fish Glue, beast tribe vendors. Lots of different methods, find what works for you. Best I have ever gotten was the Ifrit head wall lamp.

There are guides that people have posted on here that can tell you what they need. They usually give a list of all of the items you will need before starting the leves.

If you build up your crafts you can craft something every 2 minutes or so for k profit each and just wait for them to sell. Level gatherers, watch prices on market boards of things you can gather, stay competitive with your pricing but don't undercut by huge amounts to sell items faster. Keep the markets healthy and you will have no trouble making Gil. As long as you make profits, undercutting by high amounts to sell faster is perfectly fine. The MB on this game is slow as it is. If the item is selling at a healthy rate no need to undercut by large margins.

However if the item is selling slowly then undercutting by larger margins is okay as players likely don't want to pay the high prices for that item.

Either way don't want to undercut drastically and destroy the market for that item. A healthy market is one with competition, not one where you are raking the gil because there isn't. Why didn't you buy the stuff to resell then? You, like everyone else, agreed that the price was actually fine. People are most of the time not going to tell you their way to make gil and neither will i but i will say the better methods are your own methods.

Try to discover a market spot ready to be exploited that you can supply with the time you have and the classes you have. I've been able to corner the market on a few things on my server, I'll give you a hint - crafting. That's because those people don't only do that with onions. They have 20 other things they flip on the market. Investing all your money in a single thing is just asking to be poor. OP asked for tips, i'm just putting some out there WITH a disclaimer attached.

I make about , every other day or so by selling Grade 5 Carbonized Matter in bulk. You can find the guide for farming it somewhere around here. I would say crafting and gathering, and it does not need to necessarily be high level gear or high level gather items.

I have 29 million mostly from crafting. I was getting bored on the game and was just logging in 1 time a week making whatever seemed to sell high or fast and that there was not much competition for. Competition is key though. If there is of an item on the market board and they sell every day at a profitable price make 5 and put them up.

Sometimes you can even buy said items from an NPC and put them up. Keep that in mind. Selling 10 things at 15k profit may be faster then selling that one item for k. Check to see what high end crafting recipes require.

Sometimes you'll find SUPER easy crafting items that cost less than 5 gil to make with the crystal shard HQ sell for over 1, gil. That is a lot of return for your work. Also, sell in stacks. If you have 20 of something that is selling quite well, sell it in smaller stacks. Most people only need a few things, they don't need So they opt to spend a little bit more just to get the necessary items. HQ potions tend to sell better in 3's because of GC turn in's. Also, check frequently on the prices of the items you're selling.

It's not uncommon to find people frequently price slashing everything. Oh, you're selling that HQ cotton cloth robe for 4, yesterday. Now some people insert foul language are selling the same thing for gil. I dont craft or gather but I need gil for pots and food for raid so my only real income apart from ventures is from doing diadem. It gives me a chance at awesome gear and it gives me spoils to trade for mats or materia which will be more important in 3.

Level up at least Botanist and Miner first, a few low and mid level gathering items sell for quite a bit while you're leveling. Just keep an eye out on the market. In a day on my server I can get over 2m worth of Dawnborne Aethersand through Aetherial Reduction. Usually I have only a little bit more duskborne than dawnborne, like 20 vs 15 after one Eorzean day.

I get 2 ores for each node with collectability of The moves I use are. Are you in full scrip gear because I feel like that rotation would just give me poop. I'm new to gathering and aethersands so forgive my ignorance. You can easily cap them and it doesn't require huge perception, so you only need basic lv.

If I end up having dawn I'll usually switch to a Land rotation while I wait for inventory to sell. Send out quick ventures as soon as the retainer get back, do roulette's on in demand class to cash in on some bonus gil. Im currently at 13mil, and thats basicly all I do to earn gil.
